Karah Kemmerly is a queer poet and fiber artist who grew up in the California Central Valley. Her poems appear in gigantic sequinsRedivider, and Breakwater Review, and her debut chapbook, warm-blooded, was published by Ethel in Fall 2023. In addition to making poems and poetry comics, she enjoys experimenting with embroidery, weaving, watercolors, and natural dyes. She lives in Portland, Oregon, where she teaches writing at Portland Community College, works as the managing editor for YesYes Books, volunteers as a Trevor Project crisis counselor, and makes zines through Conjunction Press.
